Macular Degeneration

The macula is an area of the back of the eye that you use for seeing fine detail such as reading a book. Macular degeneration (MD) affects your ability to do certain tasks such as reading and watching television, but does not usually affect your ability to walk around as your side vision is maintained. Regular eye tests are vital to ensure MD is detected AT an early stage, to allow for proper management and treatment.
